Craig Oren Jones - As of 1980 was an automotive engineer with Mercedes Benz of North America, and an author and researcher in the field of automotive safety. He conducted research and published papers in the areas of human biomechanics, crash energy management, and accident investigation for the University of California Institute of Transportation and Traffic Engineering, and the California Highway Patrol. He was developing industry standards for driver vision, driver ergonomics, and vehicle lighting. A a member of the Englewood Traffic Advisory Committee, Noise Control Advisory Committee, and a democratic municipal committeeman. He moved from California to Englewood ten years ago. Mr. Jones has also worked as an engineer on the early Boeing Space Shuttle, as a photographer’s assistant in Paris, operated an underwater salvage operation in Seattle, and ran a business which delivered vegetables from Seattle to Alaska by boat.
