Doris Auerbach - was Associate Professor of foreign languages and literature at FDU. She developed and co-directed the Outreach to Women Center at the Teaneck campus. The center has helped hundreds of women return to the university. She was on the steering committee of the Gerontology program at FDU, and directed the Invitation to the Humanities program. Dr. Auerbach taught German language and literature. She was one of the pioneers of women’s studies program at FDU, and organized an inter-disciplinary course, “Women’s Roles: Myth and Reality.” She is currently writing a book for the Twayne Modern American Authors series on Sam Shepard, Arthur Kopit and the Off-Broadway Theater. Her two daughters are graduates of Dwight Morrow High School. [1]
