Harry Danner - began his operatic career with the Metropolitan Opera Studio, and has sung leading tenor roles with the opera companies of Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Kansas City, Chautauqua, and Lake George. He has soloed with the Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Milwaukee symphonies, the Opera Orchestra of N.Y.at Carnegie Hall, and on two occasions, appeared at the White House. His portrayal of The Student Prince has been highly acclaimed in the U.S. and Canada, and at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. He has appeared in musicals on Broadway and across the country, including Musical Calvalcade with Dick Van Dyke, The Merry Widow with Roberta Peters, and Carousel with Robert Goulet. TV audiences have seen Harry as guest soloist with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops, as the music teacher on the White Shadow, and in the American premiere of Janacek’s opera, The House of the Dead. He is also Snuffleupagus’ opera voice on Sesame Street. Harry is married to director-choreographer, Dorothy Frank Danner. [1]
