James C. Anderson was acting Mayor of Englewood from only May, 1901-December of the same year. We don't have very much about his background; but he previously served as a "Freeholder" [1], and then as Republican 1st ward Councilman in Englewood, during the tenure of Mayor Elbert A. Brinckerhoff. He was elected "Chairman" of the Council. He served a "full term" and resigned at the end of that term. [1]
