Joseph A. Furey was Chief of Police from November 1, 1958, when Chief Jacob Abrams retired, until 1964 when Elbert Earley became Chief. In 1930 [3] through 1940 when he was still a patrol officer, the family was living at 221 Waldo pl, residing with his mother, Catherine (b. 1870) [2].
