Joseph E. Epps - architect, has been involved with projects in 38 states and in 19 foreign countries. Ca. 1980, his endeavors included the following award winning projects: One Park Plaza, Los Angeles; Santa Monica Mountain Residential Community, Santa Monica, CA; Communication Satelite Corporation Facilities, Clarksburg, MD; St. Augustine by the Sea, Church School, Santa Monica, CA. Other efforts include, The Moscow World Trade Center, Moscow, U.S.S.R.; master plan and design criteria for the new town of Assard, Saudi Arabia; Queensboro Community College, Bayside, NY; Zomorod-Housing for Faranzad, Tehran, Iran; Lawrence Welk Plaza, Los Angeles, CA; State Street South Operations Center, Quincy, MA. He began his career working on the Garden State Plaza Shopping Center, Paramus and was, as of 1980 project director for the design and construction of the Ritz Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City in Association with the firm of Welton Becket Associates. He is also President of his own firm, Joseph E. Epps Associates, and is deeply involved in the master planning for the reconstruction of a pre-Colombian Total Community in his native Virginia. [1]
