NORMAN W. DAVIS is notable for having been Councilmember at Large of the City, from April 1977 through December 1979. Council president throughout 1978 and 1979. While Council President, he co-founded, along with Edward Baczewski, the Englewood Economic Development Corporation. He was, before he retired, vice president, Schroders, inc., New York City since 1952 where he managed investment portfolios A graduate of Harvard University, Mr. Davis was president of the Englewood City Council, and has been a member of the Community Chest of Englewood; the Social Service Federation; PTO Council; Financial Advisory Committee, and Democratic Municipal Commitee. He has also served as President of the John Harms Center for the Arts (now Bergen PAC)(1984-1988) and as a member of the Englewood Board of Education (1990-1994) He is presently co-president of the Englewood Historical Society.
