Patricia Thompson, Esq. - b. 28, Nov 1942 - d. 23, Nov. 1989 [1]) was a pioneering black Attorney. According to coach Tom Monroe, she graduated with him from DMHS in 1960. She then attended Bowling Green State University, where she was a member of Delta Chi Delta Sorority [2] graduating in 1964. [3] She later practiced law in Bergen. [4] He tells that she was the "first Black woman lawyer in Bergen County", but at the very least she was one of the first. She apparently married a man also surnamed Thompson, i.e. Clifton Jerry Thompson, sr., and their son Clifton Jerry Thompson, III currently is a principal at the HARP School in Paterson.
