Peter Golenbock - is the co-author of The Bronx Z00, written with former New York Yankee pitcher, Sparky Lyle about the 1978 baseball season. The Bronx Z00, which was on the New York Times’ booklist for 29 weeks, is the best-selling sports book of all time. Golenbock’s first book, DYNASTY: The New York Yankees 1949-64, was published in 1975, and it too, was a best seller. Golenbock was the sports editor of The Dartmouth during his senior year there. While attending the New York University School of Law he wrote a column on professional sports for The Stamford CT Advocate. After law school he joined the staff of The North Jersey Suburbanite, then was hired by The Record, where he was a reporter and editor. This year Golenbock will collaborate with Yankee Pitcher Ron Guidry and with controversial manager Billy Martin in writing their autobiographies. He is also working on a book about the hey-day of the Brooklyn Dodgers and on a book about the Salem witches. Golenbock has lived in Englewood since 1975. [1]
