Philip Grushkin - is a free lance book designer, educator, and calligrapher. A former art director and vice president of Harry N. Abrams, Inc., he designed many outstanding art books, including the original edition of "History of Art" by H.W.Janson. He served as cartographer in the Office of Strategic Services during World War II. Mr. Grushkin is a frequent lecturer on the book arts, and has spoken at the Englewood Library and in the “Book Arts Series” at FDU. He is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, and is a member of the Grolier Club, the Typophile and a vice president of the American Printing History Association. [1]
