Thomas J. Markham - became Fire Chief Oct 1918 on the retirement of Chief Emil Ruch. The family lived at 44 Cottage pl., the family was living at 9 Demarest Ave. with their two grown sons. As of 1930 the family was living in Orange County, NY and his occupation was listed as 'farmer'.[2] He was listed as "retired" by 1940. [1]
